Lake Orion High School Thespian Troupe 2898 belongs to the International Thespian Society. Every year we induct new members based on their work in the theatre community at Lake Orion High School. As members of this international organization, we strive to exemplify and support the arts in our community. Our troupe has a state thespian officer who helps us achieve this goal, and two student state board members. That help us amplify our theater enviroment in our community and outside of it at events including Thespian Festival.
For more information on the International Thespian Society visit here and for information on its affiliate in our state of Michigan, visit here. We produce three main-stage productions every year: Our fall play, our spring musical and summer the student directed summer show. We also produce several smaller shows throughout the year including the dinner theatre show in January, and the student-written one-act in spring. In the winter we participate in Thespian Festival with multiple students participating in the ranking performances from Soloist singers and actors to complex crew design techie displays. The thespian troupe meets every-other Wednesday after school in the auditorium or in room D-352 starting at 3:15 p.m. |
